The legends, tales and traditions, which the late Father Kanev left in “The Past of Momchilovtsi”, “Rhodopean Tales”, and “Yudina Come” are still alive in Momchilovtsi as well as the stories about “The Miraculous Holy Spring and the Chappels in Momchilovtsi” also written by Kostadin Kanev.

We are pleased and proud that today there are people who continue to describe the history of this beautiful village. One of these people is Kostadin Valnev, the author of “Momchilovtsi - municipal management 1912 - 2007”.

Taken from all these sources are the following interesting stories, tales and legends that are alive in the younger generation, which today are related from mouth to mouth, thanks to the people who managed to recreate them and write.

Our obligation and responsibility is to give them to our children, in order to preserve the tradition, faith and the roots of this ancient land ...
